Administrative Support Staff

Seeking office & daily operations assistant with varied admin experience.

Location:

You must be located in Los Angeles and willing to commute weekly, using your own transportation, if needed, to 90042 area. You are also able to work remotely using reliable Internet and your own computer. You are able to work legally in the United States without a

Ideal candidate:

  • Is a highly organized individual

  • Has the ability to be supervised & accept feedback

  • Responds to email & text in a timely fashion

  • Can follow the systems we already have in place

  • Self-motivated and ready to work

  • Can work in the morning 9am-1pm minimum

  • Can work 5 days a week, weekly

  • Can manage their own time (except when projects are pressing) without prompting

  • Can be in touch with other employees often during working hours

  • Navigates computers & various software with ease (Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Adobe products, various online apps)

  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills

  • Can switch tasks readily, without undue hardship

  • Associate or college degree (or relevant lived experience)

  • 6+ years work experience in any role

  • Responds to email & text in a timely fashion

  • Can arrive on time (early) for meetings & commitments

  • Can call out & answer calls on the telephone without distress

  • Will not protest the ethical use of AI, sparingly

  • Is accepting of transgender and LGBTQ+ individuals; can navigate they pronouns

  • Has multicultural awareness, knowledge, and skills

Highly desired skills:

  • Has an active personal art practice

  • Bookkeeping

  • Data entry

  • Filing

  • Advertising/Marketing

  • Graphic Design (or willing to learn) or Art skills

  • Secretarial experience: phone/fax/copier/scanner, customer-facing communication

  • Passionate about social justice and willing to learn from teammates

  • Grant writing and/or fundraising

  • Has existing community partnerships and/or experience with philanthropy

  • Is interested in Art Therapy and/or being on the Board of Directors

  • Speaks Spanish, Armenian, and/or other language(s)

  • Photography, videography

  • Social media literacy

  • Familiarity with disability justice

  • Experience working in a community setting and/or doing political activism

  • Willingness to learn how to facilitate

  • Can lift 15 pounds, bend, crouch, climb steps

Clinical Art Therapist

Role Description

The Art Therapist will provide individual/ couples/ family/ group art therapy. They may provide community/ organizational/ institutional therapeutic art-making or clinical art therapy sessions. The Art Therapist will work closely with the Board and will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to advance the mission of the organization.
Supervision will be provided if you are an ATR-P and/or Associate-level therapist.

Location:

You must be located in Los Angeles and willing to commute weekly to 90042 + you can do telehealth or virtually if you are a licensed MHC or MFT in Washington state (Associates welcome).

Essential Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in Art Therapy, Expressive / Creative Arts Therapies from an accredited institution

  • Credentialed (ATR-P, ATR, ATR-BC) or similar

  • Licensed as a Mental Health / Professional Counselor (LMHC/LPCC) or LMFT (Associate-level applicants also accepted) in WA and/or CA

  • 1 year clinical experience serving diverse clientele (internship acceptable)

  • Strong knowledge of multicultural competencies & cultural humility in art therapy

  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills

  • Ability to be supervised and accept feedback

  • Has an active personal art practice

  • Has 10+ years work experience (in any position)

  • Has a computer with reliable internet

  • Has reliable means of transportation and is able to travel for events

  • Able to work legally in the United States

  • Accepting of transgender individuals/can navigate they/them pronouns

Desired Qualifications

  • Bilingual (Spanish or any other language)

  • Is social justice oriented

  • Familiarity with LGBTQ+ and disability justice issues a plus

  • Grant-writing or fundraising experience a major plus

  • Has/ had a private practice/ willing to learn how to run your own practice

  • Experience working in a community setting and/or doing political activism

  • Have done marketing in any capacity

  • Member of the American Art Therapy Association (AATA)

  • Desire to be part of the Board of Directors
