Identity Work

Life Transitions

Feeling Stuck

Many clients come in feeling stuck, uncertain, or disconnected from a sense of direction or purpose. This can show up as overthinking, avoidance, loss of motivation, or not knowing where to begin.

Whether you're navigating a major life transition, questioning your identity, or feeling disconnected from what you want, therapy can be a space to slow down and gain clarity.

Minju helps clients explore identity, meaning, and direction through attuned support, reframing, and collaborative goal-setting. Her approach focuses on helping clients build momentum in a way that feels grounded, manageable, and aligned with their values—not overwhelming.

Anxiety, depression, and emotional regulation

Emotional struggles don’t always appear as obvious distress—they often show up as chronic worry, burnout, irritability, or feeling emotionally “flat.”

Minju works with clients to better understand their emotional patterns and internal experiences, including how past relationships and experiences may shape present responses. She integrates mindfulness and CBT-based tools to support emotional regulation, while also helping clients develop a deeper awareness of underlying dynamics.

The goal is not only symptom relief, but building a more sustainable and flexible way of relating to one’s thoughts, emotions, and self.

Bilingual (Korean/English) & culturally responsive care

Minju provides therapy in both Korean and English and works with clients navigating cultural identity, language differences, and cross-cultural experiences.

For many, language and culture shape how emotions are expressed, understood, and even recognized. Minju offers a space where clients can move between languages comfortably and explore their experiences without needing to filter or translate parts of themselves.

She is especially attuned to the complexities of identity, belonging, and expectations that arise within multicultural or immigrant contexts, and supports clients in making sense of their experiences within their cultural framework.

Approach

Minju’s work is grounded in a psychodynamic framework, with an emphasis on understanding how past experiences, relationships, and internal patterns shape present thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. She helps clients develop insight into these patterns while creating space for new ways of relating to themselves and others.

At the same time, her approach is practical and integrative. She incorporates mindfulness-based practices and evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support emotional regulation and cognitive flexibility.

Minju is known for her attuned and collaborative style. She meets clients where they are, while gently offering reframing and perspective shifts that open up new ways of understanding their experiences. She also works actively with clients who feel stuck or unmotivated, helping them build momentum through structured yet flexible goal-setting. Her approach balances depth and action—supporting both insight and meaningful, sustainable change.
